As a user of both osx & windows i can honestly say that hands down mac's work better, but thats not to say a windows machine wont or cant work good, but my vote has to go for the mac&osx

Actually my unableton working day has at least 2 crashes and 1 serious program error. I mean AT LEAST. Sometimes i got 5 crashes 2 serious program error and I had also corrupted live sets. I'm waiting the update to get seriously get back to production, now i'm just writing my own sounds 'cause if ...

Maybe you could try deleting the ableton prefs found in your user library

pressing the +/- keys doesn't restore to factory, it deletes all the memory including the factory presets, you need the "enigma" editing software to dump everything back on it, if you don't have it its free from the m-audio website. I've had this problem also and a simple dump from abletons midi ...

I use a cheap as chips "generic no brand" 7 port powered usb hub running 4 midi controllers with no problems!, just be sure to run any audio interfaces through there own dedicated port!
