Re: Live 6 on Snow Leopard?
Yes and I thank you for your reply.
I figured more people would chime in if the question I am asking is in the Subject. I would just like to know for sure because I can't be bothered with unstable software at the moment.
Is it possible to still buy Live 7? I tried the Live 8 suite a month or two ...

Charlie May from Spooky bags the Ableton Sound Engine
In Computer Music 142 Charlie May of Spooky, who works with Sasha, notes that he has to bounce everythin out of Ableton Live and bring it into logic because "the summing engine just doesn't sound as good" This is like computer music mag is from August 2009 and is the drum and bass special.

Using Master Bus effects and Multi Core Processors
After reading some threads on this forum I have been informed that the use of return tracks can cause Live to consume lots of procesisng power on one core in a cpu.
This has lead me to this question:
Will using effects and plugins on the master track (bus) cause Live to pools all its resources on ...

Oh...timothyallan wrote:Welcome to Live and the big CPU requirements!
So like why is that?
Maybe Ableton should do a version 10 with no new features and just bust their arses optimising the code, and squashing every bug known to man!

Live and CPU USE
Hello Everybody,
When Live is stopped and not playing, should the CPI metre return to 0? I have noticed on projects that I am running that CPU is always in use in Live once I have a few tracks going or even some plugs on the Master bus.

Re: Live 8.08 Sluggish GUI
well, maybe other macbook (pro) video cards share ram as well, but it's not the point. The point is that our video cards are very simple integrated chipsets. Actually, we don't have video cards  . A macbook pro for example, got an nvidia that is 1000x more powerful than our integrated shit ...

Re: Live 8.08 Sluggish GUI
I've got the same exact problem mate, and I'm on a white macbook. I guess It's because we got a shitty integrated video card that shares its ram with the 'regular' ram.
Nearly all notebooks including the macbook pro line's video cards share ram with the computers ram. If the operating system and ...
