We're having the same problem over here. Although ours was working from the get go. This problem just recently occured. I have not tried setting the delays yet on the tracks. What is PDC? I just ended up recording as audio with the effect on and then deleting the device entirely. Only way around the problem.

This problem arose just now unexpectingly. When I hit ctrl C to copy clips I get the message "A serious problem has occured. You should save your file under a different name..." I restarted Ableton and Reason and got the same problem. Anyone else experience this?

When you have a Waves Pitch Shift on an Audio track it causes a delay in your MIDI tracks. I do not know if this happens with other Waves plug ins. So far this is the only one causing this problem. I know that Ableton has not yet become fully compatible with Wave plug ins (Live 5 that is).

Is it possible to downgrade to the Latest version of Live 4? I'd rather use something reliable than worry about 5 coming up with a new problem and crapping out on me. I can't work in confidence anymore.

Is there anyway to download 4 with the existing lock code? Or any other possible way?

It's not a "typical MAC problem" I have a PC and get the same type of issues. Others with PCs also have similar problems.

AAAHHHHHH!!!! That is the MOST accurate re enactment of Live 5 tech support and most peoples experience with Live 5 ever! I cracked up hard core. I'm glad all of us could find some humor out of all this BS at the very least. Good one man!

Well here's another realization to discourage us from using Live 5 ever again. I checked out my older songs. The ones that used no Wave plug ins. Ones that also used far less CPU (maybe 45% max). The delay still occurs. When you hit play the sound is not immediate. Some things are still playing out ...

If I consolidate several clips in Live 5 the system freezes up and Ableton crashes. I have to restart everything. Anyone else have this problem?

Did this happen immediately to you or after a certain amount of time? Cause everything was working perfectly and now it's totally out of sync. Everything is completely off time. I have no idea what the problem is. I had a track with a lot more tracks and it did not do this.

Yep I have the same problem. I thought it was just me. But no. Of course it is because Live 5 is a big heaping piece of garbage. It's like the problems don't diminish. They just get more creative, more persistent, more annoying, and to some extent more destructive.
