I heard 6 was out today. I bought it almost right away. Sampler was mentioned on the pre-checkout page - i watched the movie - i was sold, but i think they're asking way to much for it.

I like it because it offers an interface i understand.

USB Midi Controllers & Latency Issues

I just picked up a Behringer B-CONTROL ROTARY BCR2000 and so far so good. Plugged it into both my mac and pc, without driver installation and it worked like a charm. However...

I noticed (this goes to say about all the USB based controllers I've tried) that there is some latency between my hardware ...

The ringing is called "tinnitus" and there is no cure.

I have also noticed over many years of DJing that most DJs crank their headphones far too loud. I have never done this, because I always knew of the dangers of losing hearing. (My parents are both musicians, and my dad is now deaf in one ear ...

So lets say my warps are offset a bit....

Would it be recommended to go over the track, over all the whole numbers... 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.... and match them out as warp mark anchors? Thats a LOT of time, surely more then some people claim (5mins...)

This just doesn't sound like the right method.

My method is very simple now with live 5. I DJ with all Mp3's so i dont mess around with recording anymore.

I bring the file into live and let it be analyzed. Every track I have used so far, live has guessed the bpm within about .05. I usually just round up or down as needed because its very ...

A lot of people will bitch and say that this is terrible for the DJ... "Now everyone is going to be DJing!". Well sure, more people will probably get into it now, now that they don't have to drop a few grand on some decent TTs and Xone

Everyone was a DJ before Ableton came out.... so this isn't ...

DJing with Live 5 (old school DJ, new school LiveJ)

Im a DJ of 6 years now. Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Whatever else I can get my hands on and seeing what can be done now with software, namely Live 5 ;) im truly amaze at how much more freedom it's given me as an artist to twist the tracks and my sets however which way I dream.

A lot of people will ...

Anyone here use Orion? Im just starting out with Live...

I've spent most of my music time inside Orion (http://www.synapse-audio.com/). We're talking years here... and I always got "your tracks sound to video game-ish" or something similar to that. I've used Reason and exported my loops since it's sequencer and layout completely confuse me still. Just ...

I'd LOVE this to happen.

Can we get an answer from someone on the dev team? Whats the status?

Im already a serious, daily Linux user. It's learning curve is much steeper then OSX and windows, but lemme tell ya, it has a huge user base. you know this already. lots in which are serious music heads ...

Oh... another idea.

Download a Linux "Live CD". Boot of the CD (it wont break anything on your harddrive). If your partition with your wavs is fat16/32 you're in luck, no need for any special, expensive program, tools included on teh live CD should be more then enough.

If you're interested in this ...
