The polyphonic midi from vstplugins does not work with all plugins.

My experience:

Sonicbytes ERA does NOT work in Live 6 (Sonicbytes blames Ableton. Still waiting till something or somebody brings two developers of both parties around the table, I gave up after some tries.)

@ Lo-Fi Massahkah: try loading ERA in eXTVSTinstrument in combination with a virtual midicable you can save the whole setup. It works, I tried it with the demo if I remember correctly but could not save because it was only a demo of eXT.
Doing the same with BiduleVSTinstrument gives me to much ...

Lets call the combination off Live and ERA faulty then because both developers point at eachother the user/buyer is left with the shit.

I also use Bidule in rewire mode in combination with a virtual midicable. This works fine but I cannot save in a convenient way as when ...

But the most irritating is that only the highest note from a chord is played
so no polyphony here. Sonicbytes credits Ableton for this. Ableton says it's probably the plug. Strange that all other hosts work well with it only Live is not.

Will this work in Live 6 like in all other major hosts?
In Live 5 it's still giving problems when having multiple midichannels coming from the instrument (say a Sonicbytes ERA2)
These get merged to a single channel.
I know there is no VST midi spec but all other hosts are fine only Live doesn't get ...

Still does not work in 5.2

Well, the demo is only monophonic.
This appears to be a Live only problem.
I read another post about it on the KVR forum,http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... light=live but there must be more people facing this.

Anybody tested this in live 5?

(of course, non-fivers can use whatever gating plugin they like for this trick)

For al you 5ers and non 5ers looking for "polyphonic" programmable dubs:
get dfx's midigater here and maybe even consider making a donation for this nifty device.

Controlling loop position with keys of computerkeyboard possible?
I don't have a midi controller that can send out relative messages (remote25), so any suggestion to control the loopbrace position in a handy way would be welcome.
