Is that pretty much the whole draw for Sampler over Simpler? $200 more for this function? Bummer.

Say I drop a vocal sample into Simpler. With this mapped across my keyboard, as I play higher notes it plays the sample faster and as I play slower notes it plays the sample slower. How do you take a sample, say a single bass note you sampled from an old record, and map it out across your keyboard as though it were a synth patch? Do you have to own Ableton's Sampler for this, or can you do it with the stock stuff that the program comes with? I'm buying a decent midi controller ...
