Are you using it with a Mac or a Windows machine? Is every knob/button/whatever assignable in Live? How does the audio interface on it sound? Build quality?

I was so pissed when I did the pound to $USD conversion on the cost of the MXF8 plus shipping. It comes out to something ridiculous like US$450+ for a unit that requires a bulky wall wart AC adaptor *and* a MIDI adaptor of some sort! I've been seriously considering going to Mutek - it'll be my first vacation in ages! Can't think of a better way to spend it than taking in what I hear is a great city and some great music.

I'll probably be going alone. Anyone interested in meeting up there, maybe talking some Live tech?

I have MA-10As and I love them. They're compact, they sound great even to my picky ear, and they have a nice selection of inputs. Highly recommended.

I was getting quite frustrated with this whole concept. I kept almost getting it - having tracks that would line up for a measure or two and then slowly get out-of-sync, despite what I thought were correctly placed warp ...

I know this topic has been done nearly to death, but I'm bringing it up again because it's just that important that the Ableton developers know what their paying customers want.

There is NO TECHNICAL BARRIER to allowing Live to send audio output through two separate output devices on Mac OS X ...

It looks like the Edirol PCR-1 might be what the M-Audio Ozone should have been: a combination USB keyboard, controller, and audio interface with a separate headphone output for monitoring! Its small size and light weight are also very appealing.
