Very Stupid Question: I've been using Live for awhile but i've never used it to record. How do you record audio into a channel? I've enabled it on my soundcard and tryed a little but i cant get anywhere

i cant tell exactly what you're asking....
Live will automatically refresh each file to its current properties. if u make a change to a file its going to effect your Live set immediately. you shouldnt have any problems if you select your loop by highlighting, name it something different than the ...

i use mainly the arrangement window in Live so I've never run into this problem with looping an automation. keep us posted on what Tech Support says

get a korg kaoss pad - you could echo out of the song (+ control another effect on the other axis) & use the two sample buttons to throw in some noises.

you could also produce ambient, soft tracks to fade in & out from a CD player in between songs while the next project is loading.

it comes with two samplers - Simpler & Impulse. Simpler lets you control one sound (or many at the same time by linking channels) ~ Impulse lets you control 8(?) different sounds. they come with presets for bass, snare, etc.
Once you have beats layed down you can render your loops or render the midi ...

it should have come with a CD that has the drivers & a control interface. those two elements are a must.
if u dont have those i would go to M Audio's website & see if you can download them.

once you have the drivers installed plug in the keyboard, turn it on, start the midi interface program & Live ...

you also need to select a portion of time by highlighting or using the Loop Region in the arrangement window.
