so i trashed the ~/library/preferences/ableton folder, which killed all my plugins but got ableton working. i re-enabled AU plugins, and those are fine, but upon activating VST plugins, live crashes. I have some suspicions but haven't dived into the VST folder yet...

hello. ableton crashes on my mac every time i run it. it gets past the splash screen, and the main GUI will load, but once i try to do anything it crashes. this doesn't happen on another user account on this same computer, so its not the app and not a system problem, but something in my user account ...

so i have this trick i do where in arangement view
-select all the clips in one track
-rename all the clips at once to the same name
-consolidate the track, creating a new audio file called whatever i named the clips

anyway the problem is once i rename the clips, i have to reselect them in order ...

i DJ with live and usually i play all my tracks warped so i can beatmatch. tonight i'm djing but don't want to warp the tracks i just want to play them at the original speed.

if i save my dj set as another filename and then select all tracks and turn off WARP, will the tracks still be warped in my ...

yes. the fixed arpeggiator is amazing. it is probably the best arpeggiatior i have used. it could be better, if the sync modes went higher than 1/32, like 64, 128, 256, 512 for those super fast arps, but synced, now i just do a little math to get em pretty much right on. and for those old-school ...

i am doing exactly that. sometimes live acts glitchy. i dont actually sync em up too often, but i probably should. i've been using midi clock and MMC, maybe I'll try MTC
