I can't recommend these enough. I just got back from a very loud gig and have no fatigue whatsoever. The -15db filters are easy to dj with and save your ears. This was my first time using them while dj'ing and I didn't even notice they were in.

I've never pushed my own stuff on here, but can start now I suppose.

"Goodenough" and "Sixteen" are the newest tracks and both are in the post-dubstep vein. I used a mixture of 808 and 909 drum sounds, Voyager for bass, and Massive for the leads and stabs.

I copy and paste audio (drum hits) right into the sequencer. This seems like an archaic way of programming drums but it works.

saw flying lotus last night and also last month. pretty certain he's just using an mpd32. i got up close to the side at his vancouver show and it was super simple. i think he might run the output through the dj mixer to use the eq/filter.

kode9 was odd last night. straight up a.d.d. set from start ...

get the d-box, it's a great piece.

i sold my d112 and bought an ev re-20. the d6 is good, also the sennheiser e602

not exactly the answer you were looking for, but anyways....

i think you should save until you can get a rane ttm56 and then be done with it. that mixer and those decks will never need to be replaced or upgraded. that peace of mind is worth it, right?

Well, the comparison is really between the DA of the serato box, the CDJ, and the duet.
I've heard lots of discussions saying one sounds better than another, like a cdj is punchier than serato, etc.

Could be a pointless thread, just a simple observation!

I just compared the same file coming off a cdj, serato, and ableton with a duet and they all sound exactly the same to me. They are each coming up a different channel on my mixer and crossfading between them yields no differences I can hear. Anyone do a more scientific test of this?
