I prefer to download the updates. I unzipped the installer on the deskstop and installation always fails. This is unique to Live 12. It seems fine with the auto update. The problem with this is I don't always update to the latest version and auto update seems to update those before the newest ...

Yep. I think it is already in the latest beta.

No Live specific release notes, - last 2 updates

It seems they are controller related.

Meanwhile I decided to use the betas on another system. I tend to like those and don't take forever to install.

That did the fix. 12.01 had to be installed first.

I hope that is not a trend.

I download the updates instead of auto. It gives an error about some installer.

I decided to do the update in Live. It updates to 12.01 and now is updating 12.02.

We shall see if it works. Maybe skipping a version caused the problem/

I had this issue t one time. They are in Live 12 but missing from the browser. My only fix was make sure the Live library was a mess. I have duplicate factory libraries in my Live folder separate from the factory packs folder. I also created a Live 12 user library folder.

But you had to make that first pricey purchase to get in the door.

The first time buyer price of any DAW is expensive if you want all of the bells and whistles.

Maybe I find this too costly because my wages didn't raise for five years while most of the food and energy bills have doubled...
