does it repeat if you plug the Akai back in?
Sometimes you have to check if USB devices are in power saving. Sometimes a Windows update will undo small things.

Re: Live freezes if a USB device is unplugged
I had this happen with my Novation mk4. It froze al of my DAWs. The fix was to unplug it and put it back.
Live is probably seeking that device you removed. It also depends on the device

Re: So... Live on Linux?
Yes, us Linux users are a myth. This is why Linux desktop adoption increase 240% this past year, Windows 11 marketshare is declining and Windows 7 went up 5% because people don't want a bloated OS that steals your data, shows nonstop ads and tries to upsell you Microsoft services on your desktop ...

No guarantee audio interfaces will work. There are all kinds of lists online of class compliant audio interfaces that work on Linux. My point was that even for Mac and Windows I don't see the logic of getting an interface that cannot work without a driver anymore.

I get it as both Apple and MS want to take more control but if you are using hardware that requires drives forget about it. I know some swear by Linux but some of us rely on 3rd party software/hardware.
Isn't Live already on Linux with that self ...

Could be the previous were side by side. Live always asks if you want it to overwrite the older version.
There is also a db file that will increase if you add folders under places.

Re: Win 10 support is ending. Linux market share is up. Please can we get a Linux version?
Due to Microsoft's philosophy of wanting to control everything on users' private computers down to the smallest detail and ultimately offering more and more software as a pure subscription model, I think the number of Linux users will continue to rise. Still waiting for the Great Pumpkin. The land of Delusion. Like Ableton is going to release their source code. If they did it wouldn't be free and developers paying that are going to want more than a Live license. Keep living in that land of delusion.

Re: Support for Linux in Live
Live is pretty much the only reason I cannot completely switch to Linux, and it's getting quite frustrating as time goes by, especially since the current options for OS are both becoming so much worse.
Same for me, would love to see linux version. And as other vendors support it (and it runs ...
