I have done that in the past. What i did is, instead of rewiring, is export every single sound that comprised my song as loops.

then i inserted it in live 5 with scenes etc etc.

Without sounding sarcastic or condesending (really i'm not) ... but it doesnt get any simpler than T-Racks,

Its got like 5 knobs all in all to fiddle with...

I find T-racks better than izotope, it gives out a warmer deeper mastering sound, very easy to use and very professional result.

I know for a fact that in acid pro by pressing the "+" or "-" button you pitch up or down the clip a tone down or up accordingly

Can this be done in ableton?

I'm guessing that the playnack algorithms of each sequencer/editor can be different, being that they have been programmed by different programmers with varying skills.

Well you can export your rex file as a wav or aif file at 48000 24 bit (this way it will handle the timestretching better)

Waves' mastering suite is quite good. they're plugins so u can use them directly through live

I usually put a second kick, lower volume to accompany the main kick. And i even add sometimes a little su bass or a low bass note too. Its gives it a fullness and bounciness.

should i use it for recording vocals,
or is cubase or adobe audition better?

doeas it have good algorithms for recording voiced?

maybe you guys are right, mixing some sounds that are similar to one sound wav file like for example the snare and tha claps might save some space.
