I'm sure this will be a simple "duh!" moment, hoping someone can tell me what I'm missing.

So, I looked up the definition of AIFF and apparently it has the ability to store midi data as well. I had no idea. So somewhere in the export of the AIFF it's storing some erroneous information about the release of these notes. I'll export as wav instead and it should be fixed.

Actually, I just discovered this is really iTunes hacking it up when it converts from aif to mp3 and when i listen back in quicktime. How is that even possible? AIF doesn't store midi data??

I have a clip that I used a little bit of sustain pedal in when I created it, and when I export my arrange view as an aif, this particular clip holds the sustain through the whole thing. No other clip has this issue, and it doesn't happen in live view or when i'm listening back to arrange view, only ...

Hi have a song I'm working on and the verse is in 5/4, the chorus is in 4/4. I don't suppose there is a way to switch the time signature halfway through somehow easily and quickly?

If you can, change the midi channel to be sure they're not using the same channel and might have possible conflicts. unless you want that. for example, i have three controllers that all have a way to send the same midi note on the same channel - it's the record button.

I'm doing it somewhat as my duo partner is also using Live as a mixer for her set up and sending her tracks to me via optical adat out, so we've got 16 tracks running - 8 from my set up and 8 from her.

Yeah, someone else told me they had that problem with their novation as well and once they did an OS upgrade it resolved itself. Unfortunately my OS upgrade had no effect...

I have a midi foot pedal that I want to use to control some things, but this particular foot controller only sends CC messages, not midi note numbers. Fine, except my main controller only sends midi note numbers on some functions and not CC messages.

At first I thought it was my Motu 828, as the person with the nova also was using an 828, but I switched it out to a midi uno I have when I travel, and the exact same issue happened.

It's possible this isn't just novation, but I've never had a hanging note issue with my korg ms2000br.
