First of all, a track has to play in sync to the metronome anywhere you click in it (at the start, anywhere in the middle and end) then, and only then, is it warped correctly and can you DJ with it.


Thanks for the reply, I'm able to sync every track I want now, at least for the first minute ...

Hi there,

What am I doing wrong,

I want to mix a set together with live using mp3 tracks from beatport.
Some tracks just won't mix together because I guess live does not put the marker on the place were a beat pics up. (as you would set your cue-point on a cdj)

I've tried to figger out witch device is needed to plug my xsession controller to my pioneer djm 500 mixer.
In other words, what's the missing link between laptop - midi controller and the traditional mixer ?

setting op dj-interface with ableton 5

Hi,

I've purchased ableton live 5 as I wish to mix en record sets via my laptop.
What piece of hardware do I need to be able to pre-listen to tracks, to set cue points, to pitch, and to record, etc... (controller, mixer?)
