Re: MIDI delay with Waves Tune or Celemony Melodyne

Anyone else experiencing this? Recording new audio while running Tune or Melodyne on any other track seems broken?

Re: MIDI delay with Waves Tune or Celemony Melodyne

Ok - scratch that. Listening through headphones - I can hear that the external keyboard is playing perfectly in time. It is my audio arming/recording that is delayed. If I have my interface set to 64 samples, then the plugin effectively seems to add 256 or 512 to that number. So, how does one record...

MIDI delay with Waves Tune or Celemony Melodyne

I start a new set and record a simple 4 bar baseline with Live's Analog. I record a simple vocal as well and all is playing nicely together. I attach either Waves Tune or Celemony Melodyne to the vocal track and do some minor editing. Still fine. I then create a MIDI track and map that to an externa...

Opening last file

When I start Live, it always gives me a clean, new session. I then generally have to manually open the most recent file I was working on.

When starting Live, is there a way to tell it to automatically open the LAST file I was working on?

Re: Melodyne vs AutoTune vs Waves

I was on a long phone call with WAVES that day. Part of it had to do with WAVES reading the entire sample in before it could track it properly ... and if I remember correctly, in Session view, the WAVES start and stop wouldn't recognize where I was necessarily in the clip. IE: if I looped the clip o...

Melodyne vs AutoTune vs Waves

I'm using Live to write full, ground up records (not remixing per se). I came across an article today using Melodyne to polish up a vocal track - preparing it for AutoTune .... but I thought Melodyne did AutoTune? Do these two really compliment each other that much? I have Waves Vocal plugin ... and...

Packs vs Presets

I've been shopping for some new drum sounds lately ... and see that Loopmasters provides both Ableton "Packs" and "Presets" ? What is the difference and which one would I prefer ... or should I get a different format altogether so as to be able to use it in other DAWs? Also, any suggestions on some ...

Editing Vocals in Session View

I do most of my core writing in the Session view. I have a question about best or expected practice. Assume I've recorded a basic musical section (several different musical clips- drums, a bassline, some keys and whatever else). Then, to come up with a melody for the verse and chorus, I might freest...

Cross Platform (Mac and PC)

I'd like to run Live on both a PC and a Mac.

If I choose AIFF as the audio format for both installs, can the PC installation open a Live session that was originally created on the MAC? and vice versa, can the MAC open and play a session created on the PC?

Thanks,
-Luther

How to integrate with Waves Tune

I'd like to pitch correct a small passage I am singing but I'm not sure how to work on the middle or end of the passage efficiently. I am using Waves Tune plugin. I simply dragged it to the Plugin window of the vocal and on the first pass, the vocal was scanned. That means that for 8 bars, the plugi...

Re: Audio Delay

How do I adjust that? > have you tried adjusting the samples of your track w/ your overall latency amount? I have adjust the overall latency amount and...

Audio Delay

I have an external midi keyboard that I am using for several parts in one Live song. I have the midi finished - I simply need to track the keyboard (record the audio). When I listen to the keyboard directly, the MIDI notes play perfectly with the click track and everything is locked. So I create an ...
