blimey, i'm losing track of this thread - who's dissing who and why.
safe to say only one poster out of the whole lot had anything useful to say (yup, I'm talking 'bout you DjSandman)
Anyway, I'm away from my pc right now, but when i get back first thing i'll do is try reinstalling the naff little realtek drivers for my naff little realtek soundcard. Then, I'll probably buy Live 8. Since it seems NO ONE has experienced anything like I have, (and I'm almost certain I'm not the only person on the planet to have played around with a cracked version of Live 8, but what the hey) I can only assume this is a unique hardware/software failure that has nothing to do with Ableton, despite the suspicious timing of this failure.
As for all the one-line haters that got in their little kick from the safety of their bedrooms, I'm genuinely pleased that I've provided some entertainment value for you. Bless. A little personal advice....need to get out more, okay? Try getting out of your dark little hovel, put down the tray of doughnuts and step away from the monitor for a few hours...meet some people, try smiling at strangers. Can't hurt.
And as for Ableton, if I have wrongly accused you of deploying anti-theft vandal software...I'm truly sorry.
