Is it stupid cause it cost so much or cause of the steep learning curve. I've looked at them, and I love the idea...but I feel that touch screen technology is about to be dirt cheap so the price will be coming down.
or at least we all HOPE so!

I might be the apc40, witch will end up in the closet for until I am going live again???....

not much in this for composing new tracks! unless it can become a step sequencer or something with M4L? but I not keen of putting more money in Ableton as I mostly compose with hardware now

..so the apc is my contender for my worst purchase of 2009 but it could change if I do a world tour

that surely was the live 8 update..and later the apc after going back to logic a dedicated controler that cant acces live when beeing in rewire is a pretty useless thing..

Interesting question why lives instruments can be played by midi and live sees logics capslock keyboard but not its only dedicated controler, when beeing rewired...

I think it was Live 8.

Some of the features were great, but I spent more time downloading bug fixes and submitting bug reports than any other software product I ever owned.

I still use it daily, still struggle with the librarian, still wait endlessly for old projects to load, still clean the crash logs, still submit bug reports, still download beta releases...

Sugarbytes Consequence and Thesys. Typical flash buy that evolved to be redundant. I can mimic 95% of its features by software I already have. Since M4L it's even more useless. WOW and Artillery are pretty great though.

+1 on Ultra Analog, I have three hardware analog poly synths for christ sakes?? I haven't even played it more than 45 seconds....
Guess it could come in handy at some point, but why mess with an emulation when the real thing is right there??

I guess Live 8 upgrade to suite, Launchpad(already got an APC), Alchemy, the Fab Filter bundle deal, a Zoom H4, Korg Nano Kontrol, and a Yamaha DX 200.

All of these are fine items, they just got no use!

Owell they can go to new happy homes in 2010!
GO VEGAN!!! - Macbook Air, Bass Station II, Some Korg shit, Live Suite, U-He, Audio Damage, Microtonic, Ohmicide, more soft stuffs, awesome controllers, euro rack modular synth,an awesome cat.

my worst of 09' is a korg nano pad, nano key, m-audio x-sesion pro, m audio fast track pro and I'll count the 08' after christmas purchase of a nocturn for a 5 way tie of wasted money, thankfully most were resold and minimal losses were suffered.

my 10' new years resolution is no new gear purchases at all!!!

I give myself an exception for replacing things that I already have and need should something important break, like an audio interface or something. and also the day after christmas counts as one year so I can hit the sweet deals at the end of the year because I haven't bought anything since before christmas and the day after next year will be an actual year since my last gear purchase.

and yes, software is counted as gear.

I'm waiting all the way until Digital Performer 8 and live 9 in the dreamy future christmas of next year before I buy a thing.

Hey djsynchro, I'm a singer. Very reliable. Love Amsterdam. Pay my ticket and I'll sing my ass off for you. The only reason I couldn't guarantee satisfaction is if you're looking for female vox.

Bought the 4 synthsgiving synths (massive, fm8, reaktor + absynth) from NI for the same price I could have just bought Reaktor and upgraded to Kore 6 (which I of course found out later).. Still no reply from NI Support after I have made like 3 attempts to contact them (first mail sent almost a month ago)... *slaps himself still*

My new strat I bought at the beginning of the year. It's a great guitar, but I have so many guitars (2 strats already) that I rarely get time to play it and I'm just not a strat guy. I don't want to sell it either because it is my dream strat, but now I have to take apart my upgraded guitars, piece those out and sell them. Ugh...

Other than that I didn't make too many regrettable purchases.
