the right choice, for sure!squelcht wrote:Decided....PadKontrol it will be. I've heard many good things about how well the pads play over other controllers
GAFM ***It works straight out of the box with drum racks if you choose padkontrol as a control surface, what odesn't work is feddback with the drum racks. I guess feedback would work ok if I didn't choose pk as control surface, the midi notes assignments would then be defaults, but I would loose the ability to move the black square used for cell selections on the drum rack and get the padkontrol to move accordingly. Is that clearer ?squelcht wrote:I thought choosing the PadKontrol as a control surface was causing him to NOT be able to use the drum racks correctly....Hmm....Me soo confuuuseddelicioso wrote:Padkontrol DOES map to Drum Rack by default. You just have to choose padkontrol as a control surface in preferences and the default factory scene 1 will instantly map to Drum Rack. You never have to worry about manually mapping the right octaves this way.![]()
madlab??
now i am confused, does my setup work correctly?madlab wrote:It works straight out of the box with drum racks if you choose padkontrol as a control surface, what odesn't work is feddback with the drum racks. GAFM ***well, not really the PadK is so awesome compared to all the other rubbish pads around, that you should give a shit if it works with the drum racks or not (well you can use it anyways to trigger drums and whatever) the Pads is where it's at, they are bar none the best from all the pad controllers...squelcht wrote:AHHHHHH THE MADNESS!!!
GAFM ***
GAFM ***I made a scene for microtonic and it works great, even the feedback... Pads are really much better than those on the mpd series.squelcht wrote:^But of course!Drum racks are great (don't get me wrong) however I lay down more beats/rhythms with other things rather than Drum racks---(i.e. Microtonic/Battery & such)
The quality of the pads is a major plus for me
