before my little macbook was allmost to small for runninglogic 8 propperly... allways hanging a bit... just a few plugs.. 2 instances of space designer and we are getting tight and so on...Pitch Black wrote:Please elaborate! How are you finding Logic running better? Cheers!3phase wrote:snowleo seems to be pretty compatible with the majority of applikations... Logic runs much better..
since the update to snow leo it feels like logic again.. i recorded on 16 tracks simultaniously with fluent graphics.. after the 4th instance of space designer and a handfull of other plugs still room to move..
a difference like day and night on my machine...
but thats apples own software... with other stuff i didnt had performance improovements.. some screen handling even seems to be a bit slower but in general ther are a lot of little improovements like autonaming of screenshots with date... there are tons of little things like that so the overall feeling of snow leo is better... and... much more harddiskspace... 20 gb was free aftre the instalation.
i actually moved to snowleo becuase working with L8 got too dreadfull...And i had improovements with that when moving to snowleo.. some issues in the midi and audio interface handling became workable again..
So i guess a stable version of L8 is sooner to be expected on snow leo... at least all the apple owners i know allways tend to the newest os.. not like in the windows world where many are still with XP..
I guess that there wont be many users still on 10.5 in one year from now on the apple side...
