well,i would like to listen to the result.

even if he make a waveform out of a picture isn't it horrible distorted?
and exctracting elements from a voice have imo nothing to do with those waveform pictures.

and if he's using max/msp stuff then i'm pretty shure only for triggering his samples and not for production.

the only answer on dogsonacid forum,that convinced me to believe what he's really using to produce his liquid grooves and the overall feeling of his music,mostly around 2000 when he was getting popular,is a yamaha qy700 sequencer and hardware.
computer wise maybe he use((d) a tracker.

all that stuff is in Windowlicker. There's lots of chopped up vocal sammichs layered with beefy tomatos and robust rocket. in one of the interviews he talks about how he started pitching a remix to Madonna but he said he wanted to take all of the vox outtakes and make her squeal like a pig and she wouldnt let him so my guess is that windowlicker is all pron clips./ he also points out that we as listeners to Aphex Twin have no idea what Richard D. James has done in pop music or all of the different projects he's worked on. Spice GrillZ? The Beetles? Jebus' new album? the old rumor that Jamiroquai is just RJD with a hat?

Also - for anyone in the US, have you noticed the giant RJD poster in the beginning of the commercial for the Morning After pill?

with metasynth you can take the tune of one recorded piece and re-synthesis it with a new sound.
for example, you can take a tune you played on a tin-whistle and have it played by a violin.
