Midi note preview

Yeah a hotkey to switch it on and off would really rock...

Plus, if you had this feature enabled, you *could* mute the track I would hope, or if there is something else playing in the track already it wouldn't play the input midi notes perhaps...

I really need this functionality and I am very disappointed that it was not implemented in 4.1. It's been a month or so since I have tried to comp anything new midiwise in Live. I n fact I have actually stopped using Live as comping host and have not been inspired to take Live projects any further than sketch phase or a weird sound science experiment. I'm losing interest in Live as a audio looping tool also- audio looping getting stale. Add this to the fact that Operator is a complete bust for me - being rather an unexciting synth clone that only works in Live

I already have z3ta+, Sytrus, Symptohm, Cameleon5000 and Phantom which run in various hosts. It seems to me that the once brilliant Abeltons are losing their way.

no doubt that a lot of cubase and logic heads will convert to live, only if that will happen...

honestly... i have just come back from a trip to the UK where i was showing off live4 to many producer friends of mine.. and every single one of them (all logic PC users, btw) loved it and ready to give it a go as their main sequencer until they came across the NO midi note preview bit.
simply ends the converstaion dead. having been on live since 4 came out, i am now going back to logic until this is sorted out. love live, but need this feature... let me know when it happens fellas....
