FCB1010 issue
Re: FCB1010 issue
Bank 00 will trigger a clip in whatever track only if that clip is selected. Also there has to be a clip already present in the slot if memory serves me correct (at work now).
Banks 1-9 work with individual tracks - these are the ones you should check out as they seem to provide most control over individual tracks.
So, if you are working with stuff in track 1, switch the FCB to bank 1.
Try that when you have a chance, I think it might be what you are looking for.

Re: FCB1010 issue
Hmmm.. I have had more time to mess around with it, and I still can't seem to get the mappings on what the website say to agree with what is actually happening. I haven't heard back from Manual, so perhaps trying to manually assign the pedals is the way to go for now?
Thanks for your help...

Re: FCB1010 issue
i was using the dump from http://bl0rg.net/~manuel/fcb1010-mappings/ in live 6 which seemed to be working just fine, but i'm currently using the trial version of 8 and i can't seem to get the audio effect rack buttons (buttons 1-5 on pages 01-09) to work for me. is anyone else having that problem?
Re: FCB1010 issue
Here is the response I received from Manuel regarding this...
"Hello people,
I'm sending you this mail because at one moment or another you contacted me regarding the Ableton live scripts I wrote a while back. I thank you very much for your interest and I apologize for not being able to answer lately, I have been very busy and while I wanted to fix the problems the script have and test them with ableton 7 (and now version8), I haven't got round to it. I will try to do that once things have settled down, and I will publish them on the website of our company at http://ruinwesen.com/ (they will be free, of course). Until then, I'm sorry to say that I don't have the resources to look into those problems for now. Thank you very much for your interest!
Cheers, Manuel"

Re: FCB1010 issue
and just by toggling the "track" button in live's preferences?of course, this way you can just map stuff into ableton main midi map mode, but ifyou don't plan to use it to control external stuff or some vst's hidden control..havent read the thread BTW, probably it has been said already..in which case i apologizeapf87c wrote:Hi all,
I am trying to configure by behringer fcb1010 to trigger loops in live.
I've been successful in trigger the loops, however at the same time I trigger one of my WAV loops, it is triggering a MIDI piano note. Any idea how to remedy that? Forgive me if this is an elementary question, but I am just learning.
Thanks,
Andy

As mentioned above but in addition by keeping the midi channel set at 00 it seems to map freely without being tied to the preset stated. seems to be the best method on offer, however when you move up the channels the foot switches map to the same midi channel although the pedals can be mapped separately, strange
sorry to regurgitate but this has been quite a problem until now.
It does beg the question as to why Behringer are not making more of an effort to sort this out

Sorry, mega typo. I meant to say bank 00 (through to 10).JohnnyMorman wrote:are you saying keeping the fcb1010's midi channel to 00? how would you do this?Harmonic Canon wrote:http://bl0rg.net/~manuel/fcb1010-mappings/

Re: FCB1010 issue
Hi, new problem here.
I Just got both an FCB1010 and Ableton live 8 and just set it up.
I can currently set it up to send Midi CC messages to ableton for example on the loopers record button, and when I press once, it records. but then when I stop it and try to layer something else on, the layer only lasts for like 2 seconds then cancels, I also cant stop a tract from recording/playing once Ive started it ith the controller.
I've realised that this is because once Ive pressed the button once, the FCB1010 keeps sending Midi CC commands, probably one every half second. I cant work out how to get it to stop, and only send messages when I actually press a button... I thought this wasnt supposed to happen with midi cc?
HELP!

Re-programm your FCB so it sends midi note instead of CC.J_brady wrote:Hi, new problem here.
