it's all good and well reading half of what i wrote, but if you read what i said straight after that: "but if anyone has a license to sell I would happily buy it"
raah, this is getting long. its neither productive or helpful and i feel that i have wasted too much time reiterating myself. lets just agree to not go in circles debating over something which isnt even the crux of what i asked.
all i wanted to know was whether anyone had a live 7 or 8 license to sell?
Anyone have a live 7 or 8 license to sell

I was trying to get to the bottom of it in case it was a language barrier thing, or if you had some idea that upgrading Live somehow gave you something different than buying a full used copy off someone else. It just really seemed from your first post that you wanted to stick with Live 6.
At the end of the day, to use the APC40, you're best bet is to upgrade. And fyi, Live 8 is pretty stable now. And it's the best version of Live ever. You wouldn't regret it.

fair enough, its just some standard internet miscommunication. if i said it in person my tone of voice would have probably conveyed what i fully meant and been less ambiguous.
but thanks for telling me about live 8 being stable. i think ill use the demo for the month and make my decision then. the new features do seem quite exciting. now, if only to make vsts available for it whilst running it as a rewire slave!
