jesus, sorry for abusing JB (well clyde anyways) no offense was intended he/his band are one of my all time faves, all I was trying to say that if you wanted to DJ with a JB track you'd have a nightmare, that was all...

just for info in the 13 days they have been up:
429 downloads 13,171.72 MB bandwidth used
thanks to everyone who's looked so far, I will probably be taking them down in a day or two so get them while you can. They will then be replaced with 2 new ones.
Thanks,

serotoninsteve was all like:
serotoninsteve, you're not crazy, but dude, ...just got Punked!
Man, Pup, you are soooo wasted...
dude i thought i was baked.
Man...
You like, TOTALLY turned the freekin' metronome on
YOURSELF in that last film with the
human resource / choo choo romero mix!
wtf/lol
am i the only one watching these things?
it IS a big deal, you know.
you're teaching,
and that kind of inconsistancy
confuses the crap out of people.
I'm watching every move you make when you do your thing, so
you better tighten up clown.
and then sickpuppy was all:Nice movie, but I would recommend you to use the metronome and your ears to find the right place for the markers.
I´m pretty sure that your beats are slighly behind when listening to the metronome.
What's up dudes!I'm not quite sure what you're saying as there is no metronome recorded??
I've never used the metronome in Live, don't even know where it is.

AKutcher - I did the second movie AFTER those comments to prove that it did stay in time with the metronome.
It was only coz I was told where the metronome was that I used it, before that I hadn't used it ever...
Man, dude, man, totally, dude, whoooaaa I ain't no clown
Former Pharaoh - Don't think of it as normal full-track DJing, you can do soooooo much with Live that you couldn't do on decks... mess that sound up, crunch it about and just use tracks as sound sources rather than songs...

OK,
Sickpuppy, your method to set the markers is correct, if you compare it (means listen) to a straight drumloop imported into Live with a similar bassdrum as your song, or if you use Microtonic as example on a miditrack to warp your tunes.
What I´ve done in the past was listening (xtremely accurate) to the metronome for warping, and my markers where at the peak (not the beginning) of the beats, if I had placed them at the beginning it makes clickboom.
I was wrong!
The reason is that the sounds used for the metronome don´t have any (or very very short) attack, but a bassdrum has compared to a long attack.
Import the sounds from the ableton folder into impulse and create the same loop as the metronome is , record it into a new track and look at it.
All my tracks where in sync, no problem so far! But compared to microtonic (wich is thight to the clock) they where slighly out of sync.
I recommend that you choose 2 or 3 straight drumloops with different sounds and choose the one wich maches your song, and listen to it while putting the markers until you get the best punch out of them.
Appologies for confusing things here!
Greetings
PS: Now that I´ve to correct my whole library here´s a tip:
Click on a warpmarker, ctrl+a and move them all slighly to the left if needed.

serotoninsteve - thanks for your confession
I have a little one of my own...
how the hell do you mark tracks by ear?
I can't see any way of setting a marker whilst a song is playing and the waveform is scrolling by... just trying to click on the scroller stops it anyway and I can't see how that would be accurate...
I'm going to stick to my method but I'd like to see what results I get doing things your way! plus if I do get decent results then I may well make a movie of that as well to give people more options...
