hey bjorn,

This is excellent.
Simple interface, über powerful features. Congrats on making the patch of the year.

Is there any chance you'll implement saving and recalling of the macro values in Sixteen Macros? I'm using negotiators preset mapper only for that feature, and had so hoped you would put it in your new devices. If you do, please consider making the option of recalling values "on beat", as in quantized. I talked 5aracen/darren into implementing something like it in his Isotonik, and it's an extremely useful feature.

Crossing my fingers.

Hi Bjorn,
Want to say how much I love your 16 midi/audio macros patch.
Really appreciate your efforts. :)

I am wondering, is there any way you can rename the macros once a parameter has been assigned,
like the 8 standard macros in live?

Cheers, Si

Haven't worked that out yet. It gets a bit complex when you get there. On top of the current preset system, I'd need one for the values. And this per Macro preset. It would be madness.
Not impossible, but its more likely that I'll do a different device specifically for saving/loading parameter values.
With Kapture being out, I didn't feel rushed about it ;)

It may get added in a future update. I'll have to implement a preset system for the labels that doesn't conflict with the current labels.

^^
That would be sweet. 8)

Are multiple assignments for each macro out of the question? :)

I thought about that. But I think a dedicated device for that would be more suitable. Since you would want scaling and perhaps other options.

I have 2 new devices coming up this week, so it might not be for immediately.
And I just found a bug in MFL which I hope to see fixed in the next Live update.
Once that fix is in place, I can improve the control devices I released so that they don't clog up the Undo history.
This is an unfortunate side effect of using live.object. And live.remote is so fast, that you need to add smoothing.

Never a dull moment... :)

That makes sense. Perhaps i should look into Kapture, but what i love about Sixteen Macros is the ease of assigning values and the fact that everything stays functional when devices are deleted, moved around and even grouped.

A dedicated device for loading/saving parameter values, Sixteen Macros style, that would be a dream come true.
Don't forget about quantize :D

Hey guys,

has the "assign multiple parameters to single Macro" thing been addressed?
I put the Sixteen Macro device in front of a drum rack and wanted the 1st macro to always control the volume of the Sampler that is on the drum pad triggered last. On the macros of the Drum Rack that works (if I assign the macro to the volume of each Sampler device). On the macros of the Sixteen Macro device it only controls the volume of one Sampler (the one I assigned last).

How can I get the behavior of the Drum Rack macros, but with 16 macros?

maybe assign the sixteen macro macro to the drumrack macro which is assigned to the sampler volume?
