I stopped using Safari altogether several versions ago.
I got no love from that combo then... so moved on to Firefox.

I only update it at all out of default.

WTF indeed. Safari is the only browser that supports h.264 HTML5 video out of the box.
No fucking flash or webm, thank you. Get ClickToFlash, set nonnative format policy to last resort.
Throw in clea.nr videos and YoutubeWide and thats it.

Same setup here, except clicktoplugin instead (with invisible plugins not allowed -> needs some plugin whitelist tweaking for audio players)

Use chrome. Yes, it has flaws too. But it's a bit faster. And I play YouTube videos with perfection in chrome.
