automate the transpose dial

Post by Guest » Thu Feb 13, 2003 2:18 am

I love the transpose dials for individual clips and enjoy messing with it while playing them. Why not make it midi-mappable or even give it it's own "effect plugin?"

I agree, that would be a great feature.

transpose

would a track based transpose function which can be assigned to a MIDI controler be an alternative for you ?

( imagine we would have a device on the very left side of the effects chain which offers you a control for creating an offset to the current transpose of the running clip. this would allow you to easilly go back to the original pitch of the clip, no mater if it`s basic pitch is 0 or what so ever. )

aaahh, monolake, that makes sense...

then we don't have to set midi for each clip transpose.

But, will it takes much cpu..or will it be hardwired to the audio model for the clip playback?

Will this transpose be able to work on live audio in?

cheers,

Would the plugin be able to detect that scenes/clips are changing , so that through an option box [do you want to reset pitch to neutral when changing clips-> yes/no] the pitch could reset when changing clips/scenes

Yes-automate the transpose dial!

I like the idea of a global transposition (key change) adjustment like Acid, but automating the transpose dial would be a fine solution as well!
