automate the transpose dial
I love the transpose dials for individual clips and enjoy messing with it while playing them. Why not make it midi-mappable or even give it it's own "effect plugin?"
transpose
would a track based transpose function which can be assigned to a MIDI controler be an alternative for you ?
( imagine we would have a device on the very left side of the effects chain which offers you a control for creating an offset to the current transpose of the running clip. this would allow you to easilly go back to the original pitch of the clip, no mater if it`s basic pitch is 0 or what so ever. )
Regards, Robert / Ableton

Yes-automate the transpose dial!
I like the idea of a global transposition (key change) adjustment like Acid, but automating the transpose dial would be a fine solution as well!
