He's talking about the GUI on the screen - it does look A LOT like Live (look at the picture he posted again)
the screen? ok.. a little.. but its not abletons invention to show knobs with rings around them... the framing has a similarity...
maybe they allready collaborate? guys with so much in common run along each other earlier or later..and behringer most certainly need some help on the coding side of things..as ableton.. so they can join forces and hire some freelancers together... And ableton needs somebody that can produce hardware for them.. the dedicated controller stunt of last year was rather burning the ground instead bringing the huge profit.. And all the ableton training centers could be equiped totaly with behringer equipment and turned into sound engineering schools.

aBehlinger...allways a good choice

could be their slogan.. you know..its advertizing..represents an opinion...dont has to be the absolut truth

I wouldn't laugh so fast. All the reviews of this board have been stellar. It has more channels and cost less than a Presonus Studiolive, the effects and micpres are better than the 01v96i, it is more powerful and easier to use than the Tascam boards. It can record and playback 32 channels of 24bit 48K with 10ms latency. It has 8 effects processors that include transient shapers and graphic EQ. It has a 3 year warranty and a new service complex has opened in Las Vegas, and the old MIDAS factory will handle repairs in Europe.

SOS says it is hands down 2012 product of the year.

I think and X32 and a APC40 would be a great project studio setup for those heavy on the hardware synths.

Before slagging off Behringer perhaps you ought to list your full experience with each of the products you have owned / used extensively?

That would be more credible.

I have 6 of their items and no issues at all with reliability. BCR2000, FCB1010, FCV 100, K300FX, Truth B subwoofer, UCA 202 (x2) and UB 1204 mixer. I've owned these for 6 or 7 years on average. Used almost daily in my studio.

And I am seriously considering the X32.

And no I do not work for Behringer. I just think we need clear objective comments.

Looks great. They stole a lot from the high end Allen&Heath mixers and made it afordable.

I was about to take a hack about quality.. but this thing comes with 3 year warranty...

I've seen the reviews for this board. It's loaded and its very high quality with competitive features. I don't mind the GUI being Ableton friendly :-) because my ProectMix is dying so this would look sweet to upgrade to.
And a lot of people are spewing OPINIONS not facts at all.
A company is judged by its track record, true. However, reviewers and industry leaders consider that track shift per release and new products. Because Behringer had 10 shitty products according to a few, it doesn't mean that they can't come out with something that would change people's view of them. Research the product first then talk crap about it if you can find some.
With Midas all over the board, it is a unit that can be desired.

I was eyeing the SSL Nucleus which I think is far overpriced at over $5000 and is more strictly a controller. Compare to the X32 at about $3000 which is a dedicated live board and can be used as a controller, then the X32 wins... at least for me :-)

Shoop, I can't wait to see the X32 natively supported by LIVE.

3phase, the fact is Behringer bought Midas about two years ago, and that firm is known for its high end analog mixers, now combining with firewire interface. I think this mixer has benefited from the Midas expertise in many fields, and it looks like a very solid and complete product. Let's see if the 3 year warranty is a useful addition.

I agree with madlab. I use the xenyx x2222 with a friends band and we were both suprised about the much lower noise floor compared to older Behringer mixers.

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/2222FX.aspx

In 2 weeks (end october 2012) there will be another interesiting Behringer mixer coming out:

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/UFX1604.aspx

I like:

- the post pre function for the eq for USB/Firewire-connection
- mackie control transport funtion
- USB & Firewire included
- long Faders
- 8 MicPres (like 500 - 900 Euro Interfaces)
- compact size
- its price (around 650 - 700 Euro)

There will be a smaller version available too.
I don't know about its sound & latency and I'm not a Behringer salesman at all!

I read this whole thread and saw exactly ZERO examples of Behringer equipment the Behringer bashers have used.

I have used Behringer products for years.

I own 3 Composer Pro (Optical compressors) for 10+ years and they never failed me once.
I own EuroDesk 2442X for my lova PA setup, and it never failed me, I especially like driving the preamps borderline clipping.
I own 2 Behringer Eurolive PA speakers of which one impoded and amp blew out (After a guitar player pluged his AMP OUT into the speaker).
I own EuroDesk 2442EX for about three years (the newer version of the 2442x), the sub channel 4 out is defective, the on board effects are sub par, but I'm still using it every day.
I own VAMP for 7+ years - guitar effects module, the knobs broke off, so i replaced them, other than that it makes a great send FX
I own the Behringer Tube Pre which I run through my Master insert at Maximum warmth setting with mild gain. One of the The 48v Phantom power switches broke off during transport and the light bulbs are not as bright and the needs on the left channel is not responsive, but the sound... still awesome.
I own FBD (Feedbackdestroyer) and used it for years in fixed mic setups, never ever failed

So what are my negative experiences with the behringer equipment?
Plastic VAMP is clumsy build and knobs break off easily. The newer 2442FX series sub out is attinuated after 3 years of use. The EuroLive speaker blew out after a guitarist attempted to play his guitar amp out into it.

Posative experiences: Composer Pro 10+ years of everyday usage great compressor product, Tube 5+ years of usage and still warm sounding, FBD beedback destroeyer is highly reliable in fixed mic installations and easy to set up (once you learn it's interface),

I regularly use AKG, Auto Technica, Chure, Seignheiser microphones with Behringer equipment and never failed me.

So plaese, when you bash, tell me what behringer equipment ripped you off.
