authorization problem

Post by stonee » Mon Dec 17, 2012 5:31 pm

Hey, this is probably a support question, but they don't seem to be as quick on the pickup as usual...

I recently had to get my logic board swapped out of my mac. when i went to open live 8.3.4, it made me re-authorize it. when i clicked unlock online, it opened live 8.3.1, and registered that live instead. when i deleted 8.3.1, when i tried to authorize it, it told me live was not installed on my computer.

is there a file I can delete to reset the authorization?

Have you tried downloading the latest version of Live 8, installing that and re-authorising it? Your license should be good for all Live 8 versions, so not sure whats going on with the whole 8.3.4 - 8.3.1 thing...
Ableton support may not get back to you for a few hours right now as it is 23:40hrs in Berlin.
Hope you get it sorted!

I am getting this same error as well, after purchasing the upgrade to Suite. I try to authorize and it says Live is not installed on my computer.

It turns out my problem was only occurring on Firefox. Authorization worked fine using Chrome.
