Does this substitute Osculator? I'm just learning about using OSC for ipad control of software. From what I understand, since Live doesn't handle OSC, you need Osculator to transform the OSC sent from Konkreet into midi for Live, right? But Max for Live does accept OSC, so this device would mean you wouldn't need osculator?8O wrote:Another new Max for Live thing made for Konkreet Performer...

No you wouldn't need OSCulator for that... KPv2 will send out direct MIDI so you just need to connect either over WLAN or via cable (using Apple's camera connection kit) and it'll send MIDI to Live/Studio One like a normal MIDI controller...glitchrock-buddha wrote:If I want to use KP to control Kontakt instruments in Live or Studio One, would I still need oscillator? Or would this new direct connection let me do that?
And will it have bidirectional midi communication as well? Like when i adjust a parameter in Live, will it update in KP as well?8O wrote:No you wouldn't need OSCulator for that... Not in this update, no. OSC remains bidirectional (even when you change the OSC address patterns - a new feature in v2), but MIDI is out only for now. MIDI out is so cool though - controlling iElectribe or the iMS-20 apps via internal MIDI is great fun, even if - or maybe because - I don't know what the hell I'm controlling any more... Can't wait for everyone to get the update...33tetragammon wrote:And will it have bidirectional midi communication as well?
