you can use looper for pitchdowns like this:

If you have a looper set to e.g. 8 bars autolooping and activate it, and then you hit the big button again after two bars, your just made loop will be pitched down and slow somehow.

the other thing I did was to give a microphone to my 3 year old son, set looper to overdub and fade after one loop, and then let him speak into the machine, listening to himself echoing after 8 bars or so. he could have been going on for hours. I recorded it, but can't find it right now, haha.

Not sure about best either, But I like to use it to create slowly evolving ambient things my making a really long loop and incorporating various signal degrading effects in the feedback loop.

This one is quite scary sounding -> http://www.sharehost.co.uk/Live/ILikeTo ... heMoon.mp3

This one evolves veerrryyyy slowly -> http://www.sharehost.co.uk/Live/pentatonic%20drift.mp3

Nice sounds, crumhorn.
Out of curiosity, in the 2nd track, what did you use for the piano and violin pizzicati ?

All the sounds are from Live 8 (boxed) Suite standard library with EIC. I put about 8 to 10 different sounds in a rack with the chain selector automated to crossfade between.

I've always liked the EIC grand piano, it seems to be mic'ed very close up to the soundboard - puts you right inside the works.

thanks minigoat - I appreciate the feedback (most people I've played it to just think I'm mad)
