i'd love to see the results of this poll, but i'm not voting with no 'Both' option... since i have both

after all the fucking pathetic whining from the 500 people on the forum demanding 64 bit from Live while only 492 of them actually needed it... there is no way i'm ticking off 64 bit to somehow justify their pointless grass-is-greener bemoaning.

Ya. I wasn't even aware that one could run both on the same machine. My bad. But ya, I feel ya. I seem to remember reading a shit load of posts on that subject from some very disgruntled users. lol. I let you know how the tally comes out.

thanks... i caved and voted 64 bit because even though my laptop can handle anything you throw at it, my iMac is my main DAW, 64 bit, and loaded with 20 GB of RAM... for that quad core i5 @ 3.1 Ghz

Dude, if I had RAM like that I wouldn't think twice about 64. My Macbook is a 2.2 ghZ i7 w/ 8 Gb. RAM so I'm sure 64 would help a bit but I'm still questioning it for some reason.

your poll is likely inaccurate.

64 bit users went the extra step to migrate and would have an interest in this topic. people that don't care about 64 bit would likely be more interested in this thread. as it is now 64 bit is ahead in the count. Do you think that's accurate? 64 bit bit users could also be more geeky in general and be more likely to use the forum.

32 bit. if it ain't broke...

using both here. i have some vsts that are only 32bit. also when using heavy sample libraries in kontakt and omnisphere 64bit is a necessity.

I'm using 32-bit, because I still need to use Sylenth a lot, which is 32-bit only.

I moved over to 64-bit completely on OSX, but I lost some nice editor VSTs when I did.

After getting a few crashes on 64 Bit & sending off reports to Abes, this was the reply-
The error message in your screenshot is related to a general 64-bit floating point exception. As your memory usage is quite low, it doesn't seem necessary for you to run the 64-bit version of Live 9. I would encourage you to try using 32-bit version as in general, this is more stable.
( PC/Win 7 )

So, I have been running 32 Bit since.

It's good to know if I run a project using a lot of RAM, I can still use 64 Bit version.
