VST instruments ,
REAKTOR 5
Probably the only softsynth you'll ever need , if you use VST instruments then why don't you own it
this thing ooze's cutting edge quality theres nothing else remoatly like it , ive got the imposcars/albino's their ok but nothing compared to reaktor , Reaktors sound generators & groove boxes (massive/newscool/spacedrone/skrewell) are amazing to use in realtime in Live 5.
Spectrasonics Atmosphere
Its getting old now and still holds its own against all the newer yet inferior romplers , Superb soundquality and very usable library (i love the strings) i still use it in just about every track i make.
FXpansion GURU
ive only just bought this , but its so easy to use and tweek , its certainly a classic in the making watch this space.
, i also own Stylus RMX & Groove agent 2 which are both very good.
Kontakt 2
Witness the strength........
VST Plugins
PSP Nitro.
Tons of pre-sets on this filter/mangler and for once a plugin that sounds as good as it looks.
PSP lexicon 42
This is my favorite delay plugin , when UA release the 'roland space echo' things will probably change.
UAD-1 plugin's
Precision limiter , Plate 140 , LA-2A , fairchild compressor hell their all good , I only bought my UAD-1's a few month ago if you took it off me now i'd pack in making music.
..If you don't own a UAD-1 you'll never know what your missing.
If you buy one i'll guarantee you'll buy a second one.Who needs hardware when you've got a UAD-1

Sonic charge microtonic for drums: a must have
Operator, V station, Kubik, Vanguard for synths: good sounds, easy to tweak and achieve the sound you want, not too CPU heavy (Reaktor 5 is nice but really too CPU hungry)
PSP Vintage warmer, Waves L2 and all Live FXs...
I try to stick to these plugins... the best way to make music and not get carried away.
Hey Adam what's so good with Hydratone?... must check this one.

Not to be missed. And I'll plug their ValveTone 62 as well. Dynamite stuff!
Instruments:
z3ta+ (resource hungry but tons of mod routing options)
V-Station (solid 'analog' synth)
Vanguard (another virtual analog with quite a different character than V-Station, so it's good to have both)
FX:
Kjaerhus Classic Series (best bread & butter fx out there for free)
SupaTrigga (I like this on acoustic jazz bass loops even better than on drums!)

Most of all your lists are waaaaaay too long. How do you get any music made when you are constantly switching / auditioning plugin after plugin?
A few years back the most your average producer would have is a couple of synths, a drum box and some hardware effects. If you think you "can't live without" a dozen plugins, you're in trouble !

..
microtonic and symtohm:melohman. but I can live without these with no problem, but these are my favorites.
