VSTs you can't live without.
favs
Let's see...
First would have to be PSP Master Pack and then Vintage Warmer.
Yeah, I like the PSP stuff--Lexicon 84 and Nitro.
Voxengo's Elephant and Pristine Space Light.
Elemental Audio's Firium and Inspector. I also like Neodynium (but probably could live without).
Operator.

I can't believe no one has mentioned iDrum...cheap, ($50.00) and loads of samples.
MOTU: Mx4 FM synth hEaven
adam jay is right about Hydratone. Got Hydratone and Valvetone in a group buy from Osx for like $89.00 a few months ago - these plugs rock.
and now the obligatory, "this is all my shit" list:
UAD ultra pack - Loves it!
POCO firewire - with Sony Inflator and VIRUS (sweet! as good as my hardware VIRUS)
MOTU - MachV
Crystal
Stylus RMX
Wizoo - Latigoo - beautiful latin drums and great Stage arrangement feature
and, just to make a point, HARDWARE
Mackie Control
MicroKorg
KORG MicroKontrol
EMU:
EMAX II
Proteus
Orbit
PLanet Phat
Planet Earth
Virtuoso
NORD Lead (Love the knobs)
Roland JD990
DM5
Novation -
Bass-Station original analog keyboard (2) - sweet LIVE Bass
Novation Drum Station - 808's and 909's
and several more I can't remember.
HardWare = knobs, truly phat sound and no CPU drain.
OKay my horn has been honked.

hmmm. My list of plugin faves seems to change weekly...
Currently:
---vsti---
Pro-53 - for nice, easy operation, a billion presets and low-low cpu-usage - about the same cpu as simpler!
SampleTank 2XL - bread and butter stuff, I use the percussion a lot
MicroTonic - best damned synth-drum thingy out there, and it's cheap!
Weird Noise Machine - does what it says on the tin, and a lot better than most modulars - and FREEE!
Lounge Lizard
---vst--- (freeee!!)
BufferOverride
Supatrigga
Skidder
Reversinator
Elottronix XL
Mashup
RedneF Twin
Bionic Delay
*ANGSTROLOOPER*
---not free, but brilliant- ----
And psp mixpack, plus the RONIN modular delay, and OHMboys delay

This has got to be the best VST synth EVER
http://www.jam-world.de/index.php?actio ... ta=15&s=de
It's a bit difficult to figure out but you should get the hang of it.
Synth 1...sounds great and intuitive
DR. Fusion... only wish I could load my own samples but other than that, i use it extensively
Anything by G Media (Imposcar, Oddity etc.)
