Sometimes I think Ableton's trying to get me sent straight to the loony bin.
I have a video-gamish synth sound that I made from Operator and made chords out of and to make it a little more interesting, I automated Octave and Semi knobs. I also threw in Arpeggiator.
Anyway, whenever I lock automation then duplicate this sound, it completely changes in octave, tone, chord, etc. It's really frustrating and I have no clue why it's doing that. Any thoughts? Resampling changes the audio quality. Unless I'm not doing it right. I'll post audio samples in a minute.

Re: Help with Operator automation
OK. I've narrowed it down to the Arpeggiator being the culprit.
Re: Help with Operator automation
"Locking" the automation with the lock button in Arrangement view does the opposite to what one would normally expect from something that is locked in place. When you copy, move, duplicate, etc... your clips with the lock "on", in Live it means the automation envelopes stay "locked" to the timeline and not the clips, thus the automation is not copied or moved to the new clip position(s).
So in your case, if you copy your MIDI clips with the lock "on", the octave, tone, chord, etc. automation will not be copied.

Figured it out. There was a tiny bit of space right in front of the duplicated copy. I nudged it over very very slightly and now it sounds how it should.
