Hey everybody
I found a similar topic for my problem, but there was no solution:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=232944&hilit=monitor
So here's the problem explained again. I wanna record or just play my guitar along to another clip in the session view. According to the manual on ableton's website this should be possible by changing the monitor to "In":
To permanently monitor the track’s input, regardless of whether the track is armed or clips are playing, choose In
Unfortunately i can't hear the clips playing, I just hear my guitar.
Thanks
Can't hear clips playing when monitor is "In"

Record/play clips in another audio track which input is set to your "monitor in" track.

What if you want to first hear a monitored input with Ableton effects and then record it? As a workaround you can make it a group, add the effects to the group and have both the monitoring and the recording track inside it. A bit bothersome though.

Here someone got another idea, take the monitoring track as input to a second channel and record there, then you don't need a group. Still kind of weird.

Apparently it was already thought of in 2002 viewtopic.php?t=1025 and never implemented
I guess it's never coming?
