Might be my luck, but the fact that this works fine in a Mac and not in Windows just tells me the support in Windows is not as great.
Well you have 2 long term users above you here that state no issues at all and both run Windows 10 so I would say it is more your setup.

You may have something that needs a tweak in your BIOS. AMD processors may not "just work" with every configuration in the same way Intel processors do. Mark above seems to be using AMD so it's not the architecture specifically but since you have it working on a Mac fine, the issue is not Push or Live nor is it a Windows issue. So right there you need to rule all these things out and not just assume because you have an issue on one OS that it must be an overall failing of support for it.

There may be some things between your CPU and MOBO that need tweaks, you may need updated GPU drivers, chipset, check your MOBO manufacturer website since you may have some generic drivers running for things like USB or chipset which would be better having the manufacturer ones.

Loads of things it could be including some apps you may have running but you are not aware of. Unload everything you can find from memory, try use a different audio driver, especially check your GPU drivers are up to date and maybe as a test remove that twitch card thing since that is something I don't have nor Mark I guess and maybe it causes an issue with Live.

I've been a user since Ableton Live 9 (it will be 4 years in December), but never owned a Push before.
Never had any issues switching back and forth between Mac or PC, or alternating computers and versions (Lite, Intro, Suite).

Unfortunately my desktop PC is a machine I use for a variety of tasks (work, mobile app development, music, streaming), and the software and hardware I have here are necessary.
I have worked as a software developer and QA engineer professionally, so have run through pretty much all scenarios you mentioned, including (but not limited to):
  • - a fresh reinstallation of windows,
    - investigating the specific controller of my USB host in my motherboard, tried with beta drivers and nothing
    - testing memory units one at a time to discard memory issues
    - unloading all programs
    - changing Windows 10 to Background services (and all other tips suggested in this guide - https://bandzoogle.com/blog/20-ways-to- ... tems...%20
    - changing video cards
    - removing the ElGato card
    - installing a Dodocool dedicated USB 3.1 card
    - trying different cables (USB-C, USB 3), bought a new USB cable directly from Ableton to discard a faulty factory cable
    - returned my first Push 2 las year, and bought another one this year to see if I had a faulty unit and also to try all of these things I am mentioning
    - disconnecting everything and only trying one USB device at a time
    - ran driver optimizers, BIOS tweaks,
    - scoured forums everywhere (AMD Community, Gearslutz, you name it)
    - different Audio drivers (ASIO, ASIO4ALL, Windows-included)
I can connect all sorts of gear to this computer and don't have the issue I have with the Push 2:
- MIDI Controllers
- Hardware instruments with USB (Virus TI2, Roland Juno, Digitone, Circuit Mono, etc.)
- I can run 2 web cams at once without a glitch

As I mentioned above, and to add to my ire, I bought a new laptop in January, a Razer i7 6-core 9th gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD NVME, RTX 2070, I have nothing installed on it, no other hardware plugged in and the Push won't even work there, it gets the infamous "stuck at the boot logo" issue, no matter what port I use (it only has three).

I am going to throw the towel for now, and only use it with with a Mac laptop I use for iOS development, it's not ideal but I have devoted so much energy into this hoping to find a cause. My next PC build won't be an AMD one for sure, but I still think I'll be using this system for a few more years since it does just about everything else.

just wanna mention that i have been using Push 2 for years and have tried 3 different computers. Push 2 will occasionally crash and sometimes crash Live along with it on EVERY SINGLE ONE of these machines. i have mentioned this in support e-mails plenty of times and gotten the same old slew of quick fixes every time:

"make sure it's not listed twice in MIDI pane" "re-install Ableton" "update Push firmware" etc. etc. etc.

i have tried all of the above and beyond - different computer, different audio interface, different USB port, disconnect all other USB devices (even audio interface), etc. etc. etc.

yet Push 2 still keeps freezing to this day. i think it has to be a Windows thing as a friend of mine who has Push 2 has never had a crash (or at least not one specifically traceable to Push) and he's a Mac-only user.

one tip which may have already been mentioned - if Ableton seems like it's going to crash, turn off Push 2. many times it will unlock Ableton's freeze.

Well all I can add is I too have used Push since day 1 of the MK1 and have been a Live user since v8.0 used only on Windows and haven't ever had a push related crash or even a hiccup and I also have a lot of stuff installed as my system is used for everything from music to gaming to programming. Could be a dodgy unit maybe. Could be a number of things as every system will differ greatly in what it has installed but if you haven't yet sent a crash report to Ableton then that's the best thing to get started with any idea.
