CV instrument with Push standalone

I've been rolling with the most recent beta versions on laptop and Push. I update the additional packs when I get notices for them. And that video ALMOST answered my question, but he stopped short of showing how to port the presets back into Push. I reached out to him for further info on that, so we'll see where it goes. WHEN (not IF) I get this figured out, I'll post some notes to the forum about how I got it to work... Someday...

Found a workaround to this. Set the CV instruments to unipolar mode, then set your external oscillators to the lowest octave, and then calibrate. From there you can collect all and save and transfer to Push. There really should be a calibration function in Push but there is not.

I think what's happening is that the pedal outputs which double as CV outs can only go unipolar and so Push has been configured to treat all CV as unipolar, except that ADAT is also capable of going bipolar. Hopefully this is a firmware modification they can do at some point.

I'll give this a shot after work today and report back.

Collecting all/saving/transferring to Push has worked on prior attempts, but it was always about 5 octaves high. I'll see if this makes the difference.

Yes. I cranked it all the way down then calibrated. It's still sub-optimal because a unipolar calibration leads to more pitch shifting (or at least it has for me). I suppose this is fixable via a quantizer, but it shouldn't have to be that way.

I'm also testing it out again in the hope that Ableton had fixed it. But it's crazy. It still do not work!!! I can't belief. Ableton, what are you up to?

OH NO! I transfer the presets to push standalone. But also with ADAT, the bipolar tuning do not work. Everything is x octaves higher. No matter what, CV out or ADAT, the only way to use CV Instruments with push 3 standalone is in Unipolar mode and the pitch as low as possible. SAD!

Some feedback:
"Not completely sure but it's possible that the existing version might switch to unipolar automatically on standalone mode, which will cause the tuning to not work if you calibrated on bipolar mode(which the user prbbly did, if they used an es-x) , but the upcoming version allows you to choose the polarity via push which should fix this."

If any of you have access to Centercode, can you try with the latest CVTools_r60272_v1.9.alp?

I've had the same experience. My VCOs will calibrate good using Live 11.3.10, CV Tools and the Expert Sleepers ES-8, but when I try to use the PUSH 3 CV Outs, I get a range of F# 8 to F# 8!

I have opened a technical support ticket for the issue.

My guess is that the CV Tools device has to be updated to work with the unipolar and lower resolution of the PUSH 3 CV Outs.

I will post back if I get any good info.

Just bumping this, as I'm having a similar problem and have no idea how to fix it.

I'm trying to calibrate a DFAM using CV Instrument in controller mode. So in theory it should work. But the calibration will only go upwards, never downwards. I've tried looking at the Push 3 presets in standalone mode, but I'm not sure which to use or where to start - I don't see any calibration options there.

I really don't know. The most recent version of CVTools you listed is no longer available (to me anyway) via centercode, and I've been using the most recent beta versions since just before getting my P3S and downloaded/installed every update since that I've received notifications for. I do not know whether the current beta has the most recent version of CVTools, but I would assume it does. So...maybe?
