DOOOOD! Get the hell outta here! I lived in Yellowknife for two years! I always thought I was the northernmost Breaks producer, and it looks like I was WRONG!

Wow.

Obviously, with a name like M. Bréqs, I produce Breaks. Go figure. I range between three styles:

1. Chill, light atmospheric and loungy breaks
2. dirty ass electro with a psychadelic edge
3. Funk breaks, but more on the Jazzy tip than straight up funk.

the page says I'm in Montreal, but I moved 9 months ago to Ottawa. Gotta go update that...

[OT] Anybody have any knowledge of how a break-nut can get a gig in the Nation's Capitol or surrounding areas?

i used to dj breaks in ottawa for years. there's not really a breaks 'scene' per se, but they love the breaks. you want to get in with the graffiti/art events, like the beats n pieces jams. also: babylon is down with doing rbeaks shows. keep em cheap and make a huge guestlist and you'll do just fine.

i'm gonna be doing a live PA in ottawa on march 3 at the mercury lounge if you want to chill. i'm not playing breaks, but we can swap samples and geek out if you want. it's a dinner thing tho, so come early.

ez!
