Live start playing and then stop and get freezed
Live start playing and then stop and get freezed
It happens with one track. I press play and it sounds for one second maybe and then the sound stop (while the play icon is still green). When this happens i can´t stop or play or doing anything. i guess in some way the live file get corrupted.
Anyone happen the same?

I have downloaded the beta version but i still have the same problem. I´m very dsissapointed because i really like this software (I don´t want to talk about the money i have spended on it), and now i have a lot of problems. I don´t understand why people says live is hard as a "rock" (for me this is not true). Hope ableton team will fix this soon!!!!

on a PC with Win XP and haven't had any issues since installing 5.0.2...
Don't know a whole lot about MACs but i've install ableton on my GF's G5 and so far haven't seen any issues with it, but haven't used it alot on hers.
I spend several hours at a time in front of my PC with no issues. Well unless I try to use this Old VST that I have and keep forgetting that it crashes Ableton.

Re: Live start playing and then stop and get freezed
I used to have the same problem. It turns out that my M-Audio driver was not updated to work on 10.4.3. The solution was to go back to 10.4.2 and re-install the driver. The problems went away. I am not sure if this helps but I thought it would give some sort of way to fix the problem. All along I thought it was Live with the problem and it wasn't. Just a thought.

I've had the same problem, but need to confirm tonight. Live 5.0.2 never randomly crashed on me (it would sometimes crash because of Pluggo). I'm running on OS X 10.3.9. I launched the beta version last night, loaded a set from 5.0.2 (pure Audio tracks, no plug-ins, nothing fancy at all). Live felt very sluggish. Load times were slow. Random CPU spikes. And then after trying to close Live, it crashed (this has never happened to me). I don't see an increase in performance GUI-wise either. But I haven't spent enough time with the beta version to verify anything. It could be a placebo effect. I know a lot of hard work went into this release. I'm just reporting the bad stuff (that's what we're supposed to be doing).
