edit- photo was not reproducable.

I tried to make draw a diagram, but I am not sure how the resolution isworking out.
I am really sleep deprived!

I would ultimately love to be able to get logic pumping sound into live's audio tracks.

I would also love to control logic's instruments through Lives mid tracks.

What I don't like is the time/tediousness of Logic's bounces.
Should I be trying to set my final output through Logic or Live?

Thanks again.
I am going to sleep now, so please, respond at your own pace!

And really! Thank you very much!

Well I should be studying, but I have wanted to get this setup to work for a long time now so:

I have all 16 channels set to recieve sound from Logic now. I have an ultrabeat loop coming in on mono channels 1 and 2.

I would, before I try to start dragging/directiing midi sends from live to logic, prefer to be able to get multiple different Logic instruments coming into Live on "Different/Unique" channels.

IS this possible? I am very interested in experimenting using expermenting with LIve as an interface/shell for Logic's dual processor suppported instruments. Also, words can not describe how much I prefer Lives methods of arrangement/session, bounceless-cut-and-paste-ability.

Thanks! I wish I knew the Logic side of things better, but I am over my head with the routing capabilities, and I can't seem to figure out how it would even be possible to seperate the audio channels to external.

OK. I'm not this spineless. I will have another look in the environment, channel strip, audio drivers, but I would love to hear your suggestions!

Hey, I love Live tons and find I can do pretty much everything I want with it, but I've been tickled by Logic and I'm wondering what it offers that Ableton doesn't?

I got 3 instances of ultrabeat, one sculpture and one evoc. All in studio pairs (ie: 1-2.3-4)

I keep getting serious crackling. I think it's logics doing. THis really pisses me off.

ANyway, the next step is to try to send midi thru logic.

My goal is take som 3rd party ableton presets and send them through live into sculpture, ultrabeat etc.

I must be smarter than I was before the last semester began, as things are finally working, but if anyone has any suggestions on the midi-routing front... I'm all ears!!!

i want Abelton to win so badly, but i'd sell you my LIVE 4.0 version for near nuthing, and i'd fight you to the death for my Logic 7.1.

There is no competition. If you want to say that Logic is better for whatever, that is great. Whatever logic has that Live doesn't have better can be augmented with freeware and a couple 3rd party plugins.

And while CPU efficiency is "better" in Logic, it is entirely unreliable (imo) unless you have either frozen your tracks, or they the files have been open and unchanged for a while. The harsh digital disortion is even more evident than the files from LIve 4 that need more juice in 5 and hiss and scratch.

claude young
how fantastic to see you here
know you still from my raver days
especially this time you were playing in zaandam (awful place above amsterdam)
and you got really sick (as in health) behind the decks; me and a mate had to find the organisation for you so you could stop,
that took us about 20 minutes or so.
I was of my head, but remember it as yesterday.(surely about 7-8 years ago?)
You used to be up there with the big boys (jeffmills is a friend if I remember correctly?)
not hearing much of you here in holland though on the moment.
Very curious what you are into these days!
Still bangin techno?
good to see you posting here and helping out

I was logic too, but believe me....eventually it will vanish

cheers mate!!
