Definitely.

But there are 2 VSTs I can't use right now because they mess up undo.
They were both made with synthedit and they both sound amazing, and I'd really like to have them as part of my sonic palette.

Being able to ignore certain VST parameters would be very handy.
Will post as feature request.

djsynchro,

which plug-ins are you talking about? Please send me a link to them.

Frank

P.S: Still wondering why you guys don't contact the plug-in developers to fix the problem.

Nice to see, that it works for you, but does not work here!

Just switches to a newer version of OS X perhaps now it will work! Will see.

LED blinks and sends a VST parameter

http://www.jackdark.net/GLITCHGIRLNEO.ZIP decorative graphics elements send VST parameters.

They both make really cool unique sounds but I don't use them because having undo is essential.

Cheers.

This is a common problem occurring in hundreds of vst. I am asking for a cure that will fix that problem for all vsts... if you fix it for arppe2600, the same fix should be applicable to all others that show this behaviour. It is the very same problem, but won't happen on the same param number.

You will have to deal with it I am sure, cause it is crippling your software.

I use at least 50 plugs that show this problem, and new ones are being made all the time. Fixing it on your part is the only logical solution, it is a problem that occurs in your host only because of your design choices. Someday you will have to realize you have to act on it, asking us to lobby for changes in hundreds of vst show how deconnected you are. 8O

Sorry Christian,

but last time I send these files because of another problem i just got the reply that the crashes do not come from ableton live. This does not help. I hope of a working system so badly. I am sure you want to help and hope that my problems will be away very soon, but this does not change the general problem here: Live has trouble with different pluggies on different systems. Do you think that this software is stable and ready enough for a main upgrade tha we all have to pay? 8O

what are they supposed to fix if the problem is the plug in?

Every pay plug in i own works with live. I've had some problems with freebies, but hey, that's the nature of the beast.

sorry, but my problem occurs with sonic synth and minimonsta. both are not free! and both seem to work with other apps! perhaps it is just my system here, but there are also troubles with other plugins that were not free!

yes we always have that option to contact third party developers so thier stuff will work with your program

but this is assuming that all the thousands of people that buy your product are internet savvy and/or technical and/or have the time and are willing to go out of thier way to do that

i think thats a very poor assumption, many, many people are not and are going to blame you because "it just doest work right".

then (on top of it) when they do the same exact 'whatever it is' in another host, and it does work, your reputation takes a nose dive.

this is the way people think. they just want it to work without bending over backwards for things they hold you responisible for. maybe not totally fair in every case, but true.

nope, they don't send me checks, i'm just thowing my opinions and experiences in there, just like you do.

I want to see live 6 and live 5 works for me as a vst/au host. Sometimes i feel like i must have a different piece of software installed on my computer than a lot of you cats.

Can't we all just get along?
Ah, that shows you the power of music, that magician of magician, who lifts his wand and says his mysterious word and all things real pass away and the phantoms of your mind walk before you clothed in flesh.
