yes we always have that option to contact third party developers so thier stuff will work with your program
but this is assuming that all the thousands of people that buy your product are internet savvy and/or technical and/or have the time and are willing to go out of thier way to do that
i think thats a very poor assumption, many, many people are not and are going to blame you because "it just doest work right".
then (on top of it) when they do the same exact 'whatever it is' in another host, and it does work, your reputation takes a nose dive.
this is the way people think. they just want it to work without bending over backwards for things they hold you responisible for. maybe not totally fair in every case, but true.
