I used to strongly dislike Craig Anderton...but for the life of me I can't remember why now.

So he's back to "cool" in my book, by default. :)

Props to anybody with the guts to get in front of a crowd and age *should* never be a factor but stage presence is in many ways just as important as the music and he's about as square as it gets.

I dig the way he was staring down the audience on the breaks, I bet he felt 30 again.

Talented guy with a bitchin' job having a good time. Put a blonde wig on him and he'd look just like the chemical brothers.

Interesting the Presonus didn't put a chick in a skirt up there to 'move more units', maybe it's the appeal to the average guy, hey he's doing it, I can too. I respect that more than f-ing booth babes. As cool as it is to talk to an attractive girl they creep me out.

i really liked the performance (but please less "visual" cam effects next time ;)).
i was really surprised when i saw him, he looked like my boss, and then there were some cool beats and stuff.

but he really should put a limiter in the master, i saw the red vu more than once ;)

of course he does. Craig is a VERY nice guy. And you know what? That video should be inspirational because

1) it takes guts to get out in front of any crowd and play your stuff
2) age is not a factor for music, it never should be... and every minute you are older as well. What a slippery slope of critical analysis you all fall into here... just sayin'

You don't have to imagine your performance being like Craig's. He is what he is - a true enthusiast who knows more about gear and functional workflow that (probably) 90% of us on this board. But make your performance what you want it to be. No need in dragging down those that do it because they love it and all that.

The world is already hard on all of us - why do that to someone is part of what we do too?

that's all. :). .02 and all that...

You're right. I feel bad now.....

They don't look much better. They might as well be surfing the net (they probably are!) It's the rest of the stage act (real band, lights, dancers, visuals) that make it worth watching. Otherwise, there's nothing worth seeing.

There's no escaping it without ditching the computer and mouse!
Yeah I agree with you about the laptop and mouse bit,
And I feel the same about the generic indie bands that perform all over this shit city. Same old Same Old Ian Brown wannabees with the fake attitude and shite music.
To be honest I'd rather go to watch electronic music (Even if there is actually less to watch). Comparing a band to a DJ/electronic music doesn't work cause they are different things altogether. Do you know what a good dnb mix sounds like? What a DJ actually does ? You don't watch a dnb mix you hear it..
I guess it boils down to different types of music and different opinions of how it should be presented or even if it should be presented live.

Hitting red doesn't always mean it's distorting.

It's kind of like watching Snoopy dancing in front of his dish.

I'm not a kid...

Um, if you are seriously creeped out by talking to attractive girls, then I'd have to suggest you might be gay.

No harm, no foul. I just know when I was single all I ever really worked for was to spend my time talking to as many girls as I could, not being 'creeped' out by them...

Meh, I guess we are all bored talking about Craig fucking Anderton's shirt and looking at ripping on each other...

WHERE IS LIVE 6?

You should re-read his post, because I don't think you understood him. He's creeped out by booth babes pushing music gear.

Word!

Regardless of how anyones music hits me I'd much rather a company have an average joe kind of guy showing gear than some model agency titty-tassle swinging girls who know absolutely nothing about the stuff they are pushing.

Now if they were down with Live or the other gear then well that's a different story. :D
