However, there comes a point where you really get "clubbed out". I have passed up seeing DJ's that I would have driven 3+ hours to go hear, because I know I'll be able to see them again in another month or two if I feel like. Plus, it also gets a bit tiring dealing with the "living dead" (aka, clubbers after 24 straight hours of partying), smokey dark rooms, crowds, drink prices, etc.
Don't get me wrong; I love the scene here, and I still go out once in awhile if I'm in the mood. The beach clubs here are awesome, and I would have to say that I prefer going to them much more than the "traditional" club-type venues because of the atmosphere.
The bottom line is, there's much more to enjoy in berlin than just techno.

excactly, i am from berlin and moved away in 98, because the "scene" was more then just dead, dead boring! however it changed to the better over the last few years, i started to enjoy visiting it again, because of it's club culture.It happens, believe me.
