Live runs on PCs and Macs. What's the problem? I haven't seen a "My motherboard doesn't work with Live" post on the forum yet.

AFAIK, there's no specific motherboard requirement.

No Problem. Just let ableton certify/suggest/approve/whatever... mac only.

Not requirement, suggestion.

I don't think the Abes would do it. There are far too many variables beyond their control where computers are involved.

On the other hand, they're in bed with M-Audio, who IMO produce some of the cheapest and most unreliable stuff out there!

You see. You'll never get the answer you're looking for. Because Ableton will always say that Ableton Live is supposed to run flawless on any mac/pc.

You want a good setup? Get a quad mac pro, RME audio interface and a lemur as MIDI controller. Possibly the most high-tech solution available.

You can try all you want. But the best thing you'll ever get from Ableton is a general statement about how hard they're working to get Live to work on any system.

If they give a list of suggested systems, they might lose customers who don't have any of these listed systems. Because they want the best...

Ableton publishes system requirements on the side of the software box. Until someone can cite a specific motherboard/hard disk/cpu/whatever that meets these requirements, and yet fails to run live, I don't think we'll be seeing any ableton "recommendations" anytime soon...

I was hoping for something along the lines of ProTools Info about Motherboards.

Or at least an official digest of the forums
that isnt buried.
