It's definitely a will power thing, no doubt. Alot of my posting is done at work, then when I get home I just wanna check to see if I helped someone or not earlier in the day, or business stuff. By the time I get done, 2 hours have passed, grrr. Hard for me to Just Say No.wilxon wrote:come on gents
Its all a matter of will power.
Just dont go on the internet.
I have a wireless connection in my studio, all i do is switch my Wi-Fi off.
I have a laptop that is the core of my studio, its like a removable/portable module that also really works when i remove it from that environment. I have evrything needed to make a start on anything.DeadlyKungFu wrote:For me it was great to get a laptop and get OUT of the studio. All too often I'd sit down and it would be like "now you must make music". Sometimes I like to have other distractions around to help me focus and loosen up. When I'd get in a creative slump being in the studio only amlified it. It's been a few months out of the studio, now I'm kind of gravitating back into it.
Congrats!! It is nice to create your own creative womb to jam out in.
some of the most creative times I ever had was when I used to take the lappy to the coffee shop and drink coffee and smoke mad amounts of cigs all day on my day off. but then they got wifi. and it totally is a will power thing but apparently I have no will power when it comes to checking emails and all that crap cause I end up doing it too much and then all the sudden I'm not making music anymore AND im bored!! how is it that the thing that distracts me from music also bores me? don't know but it does.DeadlyKungFu wrote:For me it was great to get a laptop and get OUT of the studio.
