But what sucked was that the fix only came a few weeks before the announcement of Battery 3. Oh well, the racks in Live 6 makes it easier to put together kits and sounds, so I don't think I need Battery 3. Also, I don't know what kind of bugs B3 will have, and it will probably take forever to get fixed too.
Cool, thanks for the 411! I'll have to check that out!

Yess I'm getting it! Just ordered my copy yesterday. Looks like such a great tool and as glitchrock-buddha says having all these features per cell is just awesome!

I bought komplete 2 when they had a sale on it. I don't think I would have picked up Battery if it hadn't been part of the deal, but the kits, and the way battery handles sounds is pretty slick. Looking forward to 3, and wondering about the REX file importing... :)

Definitely want to pick it up, but, being NI and all, just wondering if there are any show-stopper bugs in the 3.0 release (Mac).

Really wish they hadn't made the cells 3d looking. I love the 2d look.

whilst seperate sends per cell are great, the delay and reverb effect controls are on the master. This means you can independently alter the amount of send each cell has but you can only have one type of reverb and delay for your whole kit.

I find that a bit annoying.

Well, use it on part of your kit and route the rest of the kit to a different insert reverb/delay in your host. I think it's fine and B3 cpu usage will be kept down.
But maybe it would've be alright to have 2 or 3 different delays since it's not that cpu intensive.

And so far, I do have one instance of Impulse in the rack, so I can use the choke on the hi-hats.

The racks make it easy to rename the notes in the midi editor too, so that's a plus.

But of course, I just paid for the Live upgrade, and I would rather not pay again to upgrade another program if it can be helped. :)
Yeah, this is awesome - I was just brainstorming about this last night!

I want Impulse with one Simpler for the kick and another for the snare, then have discrete effects for them as well as global effects - sweet!

I'm actually trying to set this up right now...but I'm still coming to grips with this rack business...

You might want to check out DR-008 from www.fxpansion.com. It was much better than Battery 1 and 2, and at least equal to battery 3 (I think, although I don't have version 3)......

It's no longer available:

to me

Hi ,

Dr008 is really a legacy program .

As such the demo has timed out. Apologies for this , it has now been removed
----------------------------------------------------

IMO the DR-008 gui was pretty oldschool and ugly. I haven't tried the program though. I'll still choose Battery 3 over DR-008 any day... I think B3 looks very inspiring and intuitive to work with and it has stretch and loop sync features + its own wave editor. So, no it is not equal to B3.
