I've got no interest in oil really, we've got electric. And a gas hob.

Err_eur, im not denying anything. You're just not offering me any legit information besides your random incoherent babbling. You embrace the classic conspiracy theorist, seeing no possibilitys besides your own. You are close minded and ignorant.

gee, I'm sure that's going to be accurate and truthful, judging by the .gov at the end. I am becoming more and more aware of this and it is terrifying. 10 years is not a long time. BTW that link tell me nothing. Yes we have been involved in wars for oil, BUT the "supply vs demand" ratio is shrinking rapidly, compounded by exponential increase in world population.

It's ok, denial is a natural mechanism of the brain towards these type of subjects, which are so magnanimous that the brain really can't fathom the implications. Best just to ignore the problem....yet the problem will not go away because of our refusal to acknowledge it.

just do a search on GOOGLE VIDEO for "OIL SMOKE AND MIRRORS". Watch this incredible video and then tell me what you think. This video is the clearest and most informative that I have found on the imminent crisis.

Then go and watch Al GORE's "AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH".

maybe then you will have a clear understanding of where you will be heading in the next 2 decades.

I have nothing else to say here, so don't bother with anymore of you guys' cheap shots at me, I WON'T respond.

And I agree, this Forum is not the place to discuss this......so I won't anymore.

Maybe you should pay attention to your own rules, pompous moron. Go eat a tofu sandwich and think real hard about the stupid you've splattered all over this thread.

Current oil on reserve - 688,300,000 barrels

http://www2.spr.doe.gov/DIR/SilverStrea ... E_new.html

Current monthly consumption - 638,038,000 barrels

http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/dnav/pet/pet_c ... mbbl_m.htm

Notice anything about this?

Not only that, but the reserve is REALLY intended for military use shuold there be a crisis in the flow lines. The reserve is certainly not a buffer should demand outpace supply or supply become seriously impaired.

I don't think magnanimous means what he thinks it means.

what does it mean??? Hmm. I wonder.....nah, better not think about it.

oh and I'm agnostic BTW......
What is the current population growth rate?

thank you! god forbid we have to go to war on any other "fronts"....like, say Iran or N. Korea!!!!!
